Advantage

As an independent consultant with over 25 years DesignViz experience, I’m able to keep my overhead low and rates highly competitive compared to larger firms.
This also means you have direct access to me with personalized service and flexibility, allowing me to provide you with customized solutions for your project.

Typical Process

  • Regardless of what your project is, the steps for generating your imagery are the same. It all begins with us talking…
    || What would you like your project to look like?
    - simple massing/study/cardboard model.
    - high level of detail and photo realistic.
    || What’s the scope and scale of your project?
    - an individual object, room, floor plan, building or 100 acre site development.
    || What kind of information do you have available?
    - reference photos, sketches, digital CAD files, laser scans, material swatches, etc.
    || How can Design Visualization help your project?
    - sometimes, all design decisions have been made and a quick representative rendering is all that’s needed.
    - more often though, my being part of the design process will allow for development and iterative explorations of design options.

    || Schedule?
    - most people want things yesterday. I am used to working quickly and, when not solving the time-space continuum, am comfortable meeting tight schedules.

  • With a solid understanding of what you’d like, I’ll send you a proposal within 1-2 days. If everything looks good, you’ll sign and return it.
I require a 25% deposit be received before production begins for new clients.

  • Once I’ve received all the information and data you have, I’ll start modeling based on the scope of the project. Sometimes its a matter of rendering exactly what you’ve provided and that’s all.
More often though, I’m part of the design process in a more collaborative way. As production continues, the model evolves, viewpoints are solidified, and lights, materials and finishes are added.
Revisions included typically number around 2-3 and will be outlined in the Contract. I’ll share the images for you to view/download and review.

  • After the final review, no further edits will be made without additional scope/costs and I’ll begin final rendering. Final invoice will be emailed and deliverables will be shared for easy download.
For larger projects, progress invoices will be sent monthly indicating percentage complete and as outlined in the Contract.
